The first Lp. from the Group the Silent Star is a trip into sound, deep quantities of hazy vocals and ambient guitar riffs giving a ghostly quiet atmosphere. The group members John Strell, Scott Delaney and composer Al Saulso create tactile representations that convey the universal quality of memories. Each member of the group are visual artists and most of the compositions go with the many multi-media projects they produce predominately live video installations. Al Saulso the constructor of the band wants to do more with pulling in more sound artists and ultimately creating an orchestra feel with more sounds and more live concerts. This album gives references to early no wave bands and ambient heroes like Frip and Eno with a glimpse into new styles in electronica, tugging on your ears for attention.
